/>\u003C/figure>\n\n\n\n\u003Cp>こんにちは、水野です。\u003Cbr>私はいま、札幌で「SESSA（セッサ）」というデザインプログラムのアドバイザーを務めています。\u003C/p>\n\n\n\n\u003Cp>さっぽろ産業振興財団とSapporo Design Relation（SDR）が共同で企画・運営する、20-30代の若手クリエイターのための学びの場で、今年で3期目を迎えました。アドバイザーは4名。3KGの佐々木信さん、NEVER MIND THE BOOKSの小島歌織さん、クアニの上杉哲也さんという顔ぶれの中に、私も加えていただいています。\u003C/p>\n\n\n\n\u003Cp>数年続けてみて、ようやく言葉にできるようになったことがいくつかあります。今回はその話を書いてみます。\u003C/p>\n\n\n\n\u003Cp class=\"has-background\" style=\"background-color:#b8d0e4\">※SESSAとは、デザイン力を高めて行きたいと考えるクリエイターが、各分野で活躍している講師（アドバイザー）とともに、社会に向き合い課題を⾒つけ出し、ディスカッションとアイディエーションを通じて、デザインの基礎体⼒をつけていくプログラムです。また、クリエイターの発想⼒と表現⼒を活かした、美しく、住みやすいまちづくりを推進して行くための提案を目指しています。\u003Cbr>SESSA：\u003Ca class=\"wp-block-heading\">「受け取る側」から「手渡す側」へ\u003C/h2>\n\n\n\n\u003Cp>始まりは2024年7月、SESSAのコーディネーターを務めるエルグの山岸さんから連絡をいただいたことでした。「こういう取り組みを始めるので、アドバイザーになってもらえないか」。後から聞けば、佐々木さんが推薦してくださったのだそうです。\u003C/p>\n\n\n\n\u003Cp>即答はできませんでした。単発の講演や勉強会の講師ならこれまでも経験がありましたが、年間を通して若手に伴走する取り組みは初めてです。海外出張も多く、社内の勉強会にも時間を割いている中で、中途半端な関わり方になってしまわないか。それが正直な懸念でした。\u003C/p>\n\n\n\n\u003Cp>それでも引き受けたのは、この取り組みが札幌にとって長期的な投資になると感じたからです。次の世代が育つ環境をつくることは、一つの会社の枠を超えて、札幌のクリエイティブ全体にとってプラスになるはずです。\u003C/p>\n\n\n\n\u003Cp>そして自分の年齢を考えたとき、キャリアの前半で受け取ってきたものを、後半では手渡していく番なのだろう、とも思いました。こういうエポックがあると、また\u003C/p>\n\n\n\n\u003Cp>新たな気持ちで物事に取り組めるのでありがたくお受けすることにしたのです。\u003C/p>\n\n\n\n\u003Cfigure class=\"wp-block-heading\">山の裾野では、隣が見えない\u003C/h2>\n\n\n\n\u003Cp>アドバイザーとして参加者の話を聞く中で、最初に気づいたのは、彼らがスキルやノウハウ以前に「つながり」を求めていることでした。社内にデザイナーが自分しかいなくて相談相手がいない。同世代のクリエイターと出会う場がない。話を聞いていると、多くの参加者が似たような悩みを抱えていました。\u003C/p>\n\n\n\n\u003Cp>デザインの世界を一つの山に例えると、この悩みの構造がよく見えてきます。キャリアの浅い若手は、山でいえば裾野にいます。裾野は面積が広く、そこに立つ人の数も多い。ところが視界は木々に遮られて、すぐ隣を歩いている人の姿すら見えません。一方、中腹まで登ってくると様子が変わります。人の数は絞られ、見渡すことができるので、自分の現在地も、近くを歩く同業者との距離感もつかめるようになる。実際、私たちの世代になると、他のデザイナーとの交流は自然と増えていきます。\u003C/p>\n\n\n\n\u003Cp>かくいう私自身も、裾野にいた頃はまったく同じでした。若い頃、第一線で活躍しているデザイナーの方々と接点を持ちたくても、その方法がわからないまま、目の前の仕事に追われていた記憶があります。\u003C/p>\n\n\n\n\u003Cp>つながりを一番必要としている裾野の人たちほど、つながる手段を持てない。この状況は、20年経ったいまも変わっていません。SESSAという場の価値は、まずここを解消するところにあるのかもしれません。\u003C/p>\n\n\n\n\u003Cfigure class=\"wp-block-heading\">課題設定そのものから考えてもらう\u003C/h2>\n\n\n\n\u003Cp>SESSAの特徴のひとつは、「与えられた課題を解く」のではなく、「そもそも何が課題なのか」という問いの設定から参加者自身に考えてもらうところにあります。\u003C/p>\n\n\n\n\u003Cp>与えられた課題に率先して取り組むのが自主性だとしたら、課題そのものを自ら立てて動き出すのが主体性。SESSAが鍛えようとしているのは、後者の筋力です。ウェブディレクションの現場でも、依頼された時点で課題が正しく定義されていることの方がむしろ稀で、課題設定を疑い、組み直すところから仕事は始まります。\u003C/p>\n\n\n\n\u003Cp>だからこそ、アドバイザーである私たちの振る舞いには注意が必要です。経験と年齢の差がある分、こちらが何気なく口にした一言が、そのまま「正解」として受け取られてしまう危うさがあるからです。せっかく参加者が問いから考えようとしているのに、横から答えを差し出してしまっては台無しです。\u003C/p>\n\n\n\n\u003Cp>私が意識しているのは、答えの5つ手前にある疑問を投げかけること。結論を示すのではなく、彼らの思考が次に進むための小さな引っかかりを置いていく、というイメージです。\u003C/p>\n\n\n\n\u003Cp>自分たちで問いを立てると、参加者の動き方は変わります。「札幌の課題をプラスに変える」というテーマに取り組んだある期では、雪を厄介者ではなく資源として捉え直すことを選んだチームが、実際に山へ登って撮影を重ね、夜明け前からフィールドワークに出かけていました。業務でもないのにここまでやるのかと驚かされましたが、自分たちで立てた問いだからこその熱量だったのだと思います。\u003C/p>\n\n\n\n\u003Cfigure class=\"wp-block-heading\">3期分の課題が描いてきた軌跡\u003C/h2>\n\n\n\n\u003Cp>SESSAの課題は、財団・コーディネーター・アドバイザーが話し合って決めています。回を重ねる中で、「札幌の課題に正面から取り組んでもらう」という軸が固まってきました。\u003C/p>\n\n\n\n\u003Cp>1期生のテーマは、雪の問題と時計台のリブランディング。街の誰もが知る、具体的な課題からのスタートでした。2期生は、札幌の小学生にデザイナーを目指してもらうためのカリキュラムづくり。課題を解く側から、次の世代へ手渡す側への視点の転換です。そして3期生のテーマは「札幌市のブランド力を高める提案・または制作」。グラフィックでもZINEでも映像でも、イベントでも戦略提案でも、勿論ウェブサイトでも構わない。手段を限定せず、やりたいこと・つくりたいことから自由に発想してもらう、これまでで最も裁量の大きな挑戦です。\u003C/p>\n\n\n\n\u003Cp>振り返ると、課題の立て方そのものが少しずつ参加者に委ねられてきた3年間でした。プログラムとして成熟してきた証だと感じています。\u003C/p>\n\n\n\n\u003Ch2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">手渡す側の使命\u003C/h2>\n\n\n\n\u003Cp>裾野にいた頃の僕が欲しかった場を、いまの若手に用意する。SESSAでの役割を突き詰めると、そういうことなのだと思います。経験を積んだ人間がそれをアウトプットしていくことは、年齢を重ねた自分たち世代の使命でもある。ようやく、そう考えられるようになりました。\u003C/p>\n\n\n\n\u003Cp>札幌が、日本で有数の「若手クリエイターが活躍する街」になったら。そのときはじめて、この街でクリエイティブを続けてきた意味を実感できる気がしています。\u003C/p>\n\n\n\n\u003Cp>\u003C/p>\n\n\n\n\u003Cp>\u003Cstrong>SESSAで問いを立てることを覚えた彼らが、やがて札幌の風景を少しずつ変えていく。その日を楽しみに、これからも答えの5つ手前の疑問を投げかけ続けていくつもりです。\u003C/strong>\u003C/p>\n\n\n\n\u003Cp>\u003C/p>\n",false,1,23192,"",[],[25,26,27],124,123,125,{"vol":20,"journal_author":29},35,{"year":31,"month":32,"day":33},"2026","07","27",[],{"status":12,"name":36,"slug":37,"icon":38,"content":39,"hidden":19},"Akihito
